A silicone pessary is a flexible deivce worn in the vagina for certain period of time determined by your doctor.  It provides support for certain pelvic organs that have prolapsed (fallen) by repositioning these organs back to their original position.  Pessaries are specifically designed to stabilize the urethra in urinary incontinence.  Anyone wearing a pessary should have regular exams with there doctor to remove it and clean it, and to check the vaginal vault for any contraindications.
